1st BMW Club Veterans Riders Campout Overview
On Friday the weather report did not look promising for those who were riding to the campout, rain was on the news report. For those individuals that were able to arrive on that day and braved the storms that flared up in the surrounding area, upon the arrival they were met by the friendly park staff of Historic Blakeley State Park who caused his own …

Silk Screen Shirts
I would be interested in a silk screened shirt. We use a vendor where I work for shirts, plaques and general swag. If I had the artwork I could run it by him for a quote.
Best,
Doug

I have to say this within a year or two the Art work and logo is going to be change because of the new rule from the ICC of BMW Clubs.
As soon I get the new workable templates from the MOA that have been promised. we will need to change over to the ICC was stated. So the pins we have will be changed after we get rid of the new ones, and also the club decals. To get a quote one the Art work a person can copy the logo or I can send a pdf copy.

I was actually thinking the exact opposite--maybe snatch up some of the old ones before the logo changes. They'll be collectors items, don't you know.

Re: Club Pins, Decals, and T-shirts
Mike,
I was referring to my original post about getting a quote to silk screen shirts. Now that we seem hell bent on conforming to some foreign... sorry, international committee, I'll hold off.
I really don't think that all the other clubs are going to run out and change their logos as quickly as some think. Does it state somewhere if you don't change your logo legal action will be taken against you or your organization?
When I was the Secretary of the BMW Riders of MS we had a copy of the guidelines. All I remember was a statement about copyright infringement.
As I said, I'll offer up the time to get some quotes for shirts when we get it sorted and yes, the guy I go to is a vet but rides a Harley....

Re: Club Pins, Decals, and T-shirts
I managed to dig up two chapters of the guidelines for the International Council of BMW Clubs. Chap 4 is about applying for membership and chap 5 is about the logo. Since we are not seeking to apply to the council for membership (BMW MOA does this to be recogonized as an international club) then we shouldn't have to change our logo. That is of course unless the BMW MOA is trying to set guidance for their logo and all clubs that hold a charter with them.
If that is the case, I think they would loose a few chartered clubs by trying to dictate what the logo should look like.
Bottom line is I can't find where it says a little club like ours (that is NOT aplying to the ICC for recognition) has to conform to the International guidelines for a logo. It says IF YOU WANT TO BELONG TO THE International Council of BMW Clubs your logo must look like the ones in Chap 5.
I move to keep the logo as is and be done with it.
Here are the chapters -

http://www.bmwcca.org/content/chapterforms/international_council_of_bmw_clubs_guideline_5.pdf
Is the Club Secretary position still open?
Best,
Doug

Re: Club Pins, Decals, and T-shirts
It applies to MOA and RA chartered club because MOA and RA are umbrella
clubs. Chartered clubs of either or both umbrella need to comply with
guidelines.
